Calls to a Broadsoft DID fail


Calls to a DID assigned to a seat in Broadsoft get "This operation can not be completed at this time. Please hang up and try again later" recording.

Most often, this error results when a Voice Messaging service is assigned to the user but is left unconfigured.

To finish setting it up, go to the user's account in Broadsoft, click on messaging link on the left side, then go to "Voice Management - On" link on the right-hand side. You will find that the "Voice Messaging" and "use unified messaging" radio buttons are selected. Go to the "Advanced Settings" link, which will open "Voice Management Advanced Settings" page.

Select "the Group's Mail Server" button and setup the following:

  • Email Address: [15-Digit Broadsoft ID]@vm.cpna.net
  • User ID: [15-Digit Broadsoft ID]
  • Password: [15-Digit Broadsoft ID]

Save settings by hitting OK or Apply at the top of the page and place a test call.
